The name 'Weybridge' is derived from the river crossing over the River Wey.

Henry VIII married his fifth wife Katherine Howard at Oatlands Park in Weybridge, which he built in 1537. Oatlands Park now holds a wedding fair which seems rather apt.

Any H.G. Wells or sci-fi fans may like to get married here as it was the site of a Martian attack in 'The War of the Worlds'.
